  17. Fix for "disabled" command-line switches. This fix makes sure that
  18. switches like "-n" (for NOW chart) don't get cancelled by chart 
  19. buffers loaded from the INI file (automatically saved settings).

  21. The sidereal adjustment setting no longer affects the calculations 
  22. unless the "Sidereal Zodiac" or "Jyotish houses" menu items have been selected. I don't know what I'm doing here, so please don't hesitate
  23. to point out any errors that you find.

  25. Other minor changes have been carried out as well, but nothing major,
  26. so if you experience any problems it's most likely due to unforeseen 
  27. side effects of this fix.

  44. This update contains a few fixes and small enhancements. 
  45.  
  46. 1. The new house system introduced in version 0.96 now uses the 
  47.    properly calculated sidereal offset used for the sidereal zodiac. 
  48.    This ancient Indian style of equal houses can now be combined 
  49.    with the tropical zodiac to perhaps gain the best of the two 
  50.    worlds.

  52. A fix relevant to the OS/2 version found in Astrolog 5.40 has 
  53. been incorporated:

  55. 2. -YJ bug: The -YJ switch which allows changing what signs each
  56.    planet rules, wouldn't also update a reverse table which given a 
  57.    sign indicates which planet rules it. This would cause -YJ to have
  58.    seemingly no effect on the sign list table, the influence chart, 
  59.    and the dispositor graph.

  61. A couple of small enhancements in Astrolog 5.40 for windows have been
  62. implemented:
  63.  
  64. 3. Improved glyphs: Astrolog now has higher resolution graphic glyphs
  65.    for sign symbols and house numbers. Before, some glyphs drawn at 
  66.    the default 200% or medium scale and up would look slightly blocky. 
  67.    Now, with a alternate "internal font" of double sized glyphs, the 
  68.    medium ones are smooth to the nearest pixel like the small glyphs 
  69.    are. The glyph for the Quintile aspect has also been improved.

  71. 4. Dialog extension: The sidereal zodiac degree adjustment field in
  72.    the Calculation Settings dialog has been fitted with a dropdown 
  73.    making it possible to quickly select among several common systems 
  74.    of sidereal astrology. The values in it are 0:00 for Fagan Bradley, 
  75.    0:53 (0 degrees 53') for N.C. Lahiri, 0:59 (0 degrees 59') for 
  76.    Krishnamurti, and 2:20 (or 2 degrees 20') for B.V. Raman.

  78. A couple of additional changes specific to the OS/2 version:

  80. 5. The Julian day number is now displayed in the info side bar for 
  81.    graphics charts.

  83. 6. Bugfix: The text for Lilith/South node becomes wrong if you switch
  84.    off and on ephemeris a couple of times. Not a big deal, but a bit
  85.    misleading and perhaps confusing.

  87. 7. The text mode credits display has been dropped (the OS/2 version
  88.    is a GUI application and has a more informative credits dialog).

  94. 1. An additional house system called Jyotish Houses. In this system
  95.    the first house always contains the Ascendant, but the Ascendant
  96.    is not necessarily the starting point of the first house.

  98.    shown by selecting "Show Dwads" from the settings menu. 
  99. 3. Updated help file to contain OS/2 specific information. The new
  100.    house system has the number 14. The command-line switch for
  101.    calculating dwads is "-4".
  102. 4. All dialogs are now fully converted to Warp 4 meaning reduced
  103.    footprints and more aesthetic looks.
  104. 5. Defaults buttons in dialogs having them are now working.

  112. reflected in the titlebar as well as in the persistent chart buffers.

  124.    ruler has been assigned) of the Sun, Moon and rising signs. The 
  125.    boost is calculated from the weights assigned to these three 
  126.    indicators and is also dependent on the base weights assigned to 
  127.    the boosted bodies.
  128. 4. A few ugly bugs in the new buffer system have been fixed.
  129. 5. If a house system is undefined for a chart a warning will be 
  130.    displayed noting that the Equal House System will be used instead.
