  4.           Transaction fees are a common trait to both credit cards and
  5.           debit cards. Because, with a debit card you are accessing
  6.           your money, the bank cannot charge you their beloved
  7.           interest fee. They can, however, charge you for the
  8.           privilege of accessing your money at an automatic teller
  9.           machine. This transaction fee is usually a flat ■per
  10.           transaction■ fee. But, when you purchase merchandise or
  11.           services, they charge the merchant a percentage of the sale,
  12.           which is generally about two to five percent.
