  7. »CL0:As you have noticed, this time the
  8. »CL1:Eurochart» is delayed more than ever.
  9. This is not a phenomenon unknown to
  10. the diskmag-scene - more like the
  11. uppersit - the 10th issue is perhaps
  12. one of the hardest things to do, even
  13. to hardened »CL1:Eurochart» makers like us.
  14.  
  15. Basically, the 10th issue is often the
  16. issue after which, or before which the
  17. diskmag ceases to be released - often,
  18. promises of an imminent release are
  19. made, but to no avail - the 10th or
  20. 11th issue simply never sees the light 
  21. of day - I could give plenty of 
  22. examples which I won't since most of 
  23. you have probably heard about them 
  24. before. This is simply because the
  25. editors loose their motivation to make
  26. the diskmag - the high amount of work
  27. for no money simply makes them want to
  28. move on to something else. And in due
  29. time, so do we.

  31. It is not as if we are going to leave
  32. you all with this issue, because that
  33. is by no means what we are going to do
  34. - we intend to continue making the
  35. Eurochart for a while yet, but still,
  36. we must face the facts.

  41. »CL7:But unlike several other editors in
  42. scene history, we intend to leave our
  43. magazine with style, which means that
  44. it will simply be announced in the
  45. Eurochart when we decide to stop.
  46. That way, people will not be sad about
  47. expecting an issue that never comes,
  48. »CL8:nobody will be sending in support to
  49. no avail, thus wasting their own hard
  50. manhours, and hopefully, everybody
  51. will be a lot happier not waiting for
  52. the "ghost train" - or ghost issue,
  53. more like.

  55. »CL9:It is not as if we are going to leave
  56. the scene as well - the scene itself is
  57. still a great place to be, and we will
  58. continue to make scene productions of
  59. all kinds.

  61. »CL7:Still, we intend to pass on the
  62. Eurochart to another group of people 
  63. before leaving it - one which is able
  64. to continue releasing the Eurochart in
  65. proper quality, which means that
  66. decent English and good motivation is
  67. necessary to come into consideration
  68. »CL8:(we hope to have several applicants).
  69. Also, we will of course consider
  70. people's intentions with the Eurochart
  71. - what are they going to do with it,
  72. and can we applaud it? 
  73. This is what Crusaders did when the
  74. passed it on to Static Bytes, and this
  75. »CL9:is what Static Bytes did when they
  76. passed it on to us. And so it is also
  77. what we intend to do when we pass it
  78. on to someone else, because we believe
  79. that the Eurochart should stay the top
  80. chart on the Amiga scene for a long
  81. »CL7:time yet. Hopefully we will get some
  82. replies soon, because if we do, it
  83. will be possible to make some issues
  84. together with the new guys which will
  85. hopefully give them some routine in
  86. making an issue of the Eurochart. 
  87. Of course they will get the ASM source
  88. »CL8:of it as well, all in due time when we
  89. decide that enough is enough.
