DOOM SAVED GAMES
------------------
Check out those secret places you've been looking for but could not find!
And see just what's so controversial about the ending of the game...
Just copy the *.DSG file to DOOMSAV#.DSG where the # is 0-5. Then load
it from the load game menu and get ready for the best action that shareware
OR commercial games can provide.
All are on the Ultra-Violence level, of course. All levels saved by me,
the Maverick, using the first shareware edition of DOOM (distributed as
DOOM1_0.ZIP.)
*******************************************************************************
IMPORTANT: No matter which hard drive you installed DOOM to, the saved games
will be stored in a directory on your C: drive called DOOMDATA. Copy these
files into the DOOMDATA directory and rename them DOOMSAV#.DSG appropriately.

Thanks to Id for a great game! Now on with the levels.
--------------
DESCRIPTIONS
--------------
LEVEL2 - LEVEL7 Start out from the exit of the previous level. Play your
favorites whenever you like!
LEVELBOS Consider this level eight. You face off with twin bosses.
LEVELSEC The ninth level of DOOM, the secret military base. Good luck!
By the way, right behind you before you exit level 3 is a secret
door that Id hid very well. Pick up some rockets.
ENDOGAME Why is the ending so controversial...you're on top of the world,
just a matter of flipping a switch, walking up some stairs, and
blasting off in your spaceship right??? (By the way- some say
the minotaurs won't come off the platform...here's some proof
that they will come off from the lowest step! Gulp...)
LVL1SEC Find out how to get that blue armor you've been looking for!
LVL2SEC You've looked for it, other players have told you where to find it,
but now here it is right in front of you...don't forget to press
the fire button to attack!
LVL3SEC1 The very tricky self operating secret doors on level 3. You have
to RUN to catch them when they are activated. You start standing
on the first one but there are some demons who don't look pleased
to see you found their hiding place...
LVL3SEC2 In case you missed it on level 2, here's a more accessible location
to grab the chainsaw along with other assorted "goodies."
LVL3SEC3 The third secret door on level 3 (also partially accessible through
a window secret door.) Find out what happens when you don't open
the secret window first. Just step right ahead...
CHAINSAW Chainsaw challenge. How far can you get on level 5 with just
the chainsaw.
SURPRISE One of the nastier surprise moments of the game. I love it!
BLACKOUT Another surprising DOOM moment...enjoy.
------
TIPS
------
My weapon of choice- Shotgun. Yes, it's slow, but it seems to put the bad guys
away faster than the chain gun. Plus I love the sound effects for it...
Save the chain gun for when you're just plain mad at those demons and want
to blow off some steam...
Second favorite weapon- Chainsaw. This little baby is sweet! Save ammo on
those ugly pink demons and invisible demons when they aren't attacking in
massive numbers. One on one, the Chainsaw is your best weapon at close
range!
Darkness- turn off the lights in your room and make sure your brightness on
your monitor isn't too low. Now "dark" doesn't look pitch black- you can
still make out shapes in the darkness!
