  1. * A NOTE TO PEOPLE WHO DOWNLOADED A BETA VERSION *
  2. A copy of the BETA of DOOM Gore v3.0 was released,
  3. but not officially.  The version in question had a
  4. FILE_ID.DIZ for DOOM Gore Special Edition and only
  5. three new graphics - the Manicubus, the Spider
  6. Demon, and the chainsaw; the rest of the graphics
  7. were in DOOM Gore Special Edition.  The installation,
  8. which was still in very primitive stages, only worked
  9. with DOOM 2 and the title screens were still Special
  10. Edition.  I'm sorry if you downloaded this thinking
  11. it was Special Edition.  If you downloaded it,
  12. knowing it was a BETA, then tough shit.  The only
  13. damage to us is the problem that the zip file name
  14. was the same as this program and some users who
  15. downloaded it, thinking it was Special Edition, may
  16. never want anything to do with us again.  If you
  17. see the BETA on a board, tell the SySop to delete
  18. the old one and send him this version.  Thanx.
