  3.              Notes for using Netplex with the ANT Internet Suite

  9. The 'localhost' URLs described in the documentation for Netplex will fail to
  10. work on the ANT Internet Suite.  This is because the ANT Suite is not
  11. supplied with a loopback driver configured as standard.  This is neccessary
  12. to allow the computer to contact itself to use the server.
  13.  
  14. To configure the loopback driver you should carry out the following steps :

  16.     1. Start the ANT Suite up, and open it's Apps window.
  17.  
  18.     2. Launch the Configuration app.
  19.     
  20.     3. Click on the 'LAN (Local Area Network)' option button.  The
  21.        'LAN setup' icon below will become un-shaded and the LAN
  22.        setup window will open.
  23.     
  24.     4. Click on the Driver pop-up menu button and choose 'Loopback'
  25.        from the list.
  26.        
  27.     5. Close the LAN window.
  28.     
  29.     6. Choose 'Save' from the configuration window.

  32. When you next start the ANT Suite up, it will have the loopback interface
  33. configured, enabling you to access your own machine as 'http://localhost/'.
