by David Thomas, © 1996-7
version 0.22b (05 Sep 1997)

Documentation _____________________________________________________________
The documentation for Netplex is supplied in HTML format which you can
read using your preferred web browser. Make sure you have your browser
loaded and then choose ‘Help’ from the Filer menu.
Installation ______________________________________________________________
Before starting Netplex you should install the new version of System
supplied by using the included SysMerge+ utility. You should also copy the
SysLog application to a convenient writable location and run it, so that it
can set itself up.
Changes ___________________________________________________________________
Notable changes and additions since the last released version (0.20) :
- Revisions to the CGI system, allowing APCS (‘C-style’) binaries to run
as CGI programs. Specific support has been added for Perl programs.
- Greatly enhanced error control, leading to a much more stable server.
- The ‘negative connections’ problem has been fixed.
- Problems associated with the FreeNet stack have been fixed.
- Many small alterations.
Notes _____________________________________________________________________
Users of the ANT Internet Suite should refer to the supplied ‘ReadMe-ANT’
document for details of how to correctly configure their software to work
with Netplex.
Bugs ______________________________________________________________________
If you should find a bug, something that you think is incorrect in the
server or documentation, then please contact me. Do remember to include
details of your setup, especially things like the type of connection you use
(modem, LAN), the version of the network modules you have, etc.
Notice ____________________________________________________________________
Netplex is SHAREWARE. Please register if you intend to use it.
