Acorn Enhances Support Levels for A4 Portable Computers
-------------------------------------------------------
Acorn Computers, the UK's leading supplier of RISC based personal computers,
is enhancing levels of support for its A4 RISC OS portable computers.
As of March 3rd 1994, a one year warranty will be supplied free of charge
with every A4 portable computer purchased. At the same time, Acorn is
introducing a new three year extended warranty product for the A4. Both
warranties include on-site and telephone hotline support, provided by
Granada Microcare.
All new Acorn A4 portable computers purchased from March 3rd 1994 onwards
will be covered by the new one year warranty arrangement. The extended three
year warranty and on-site service product is available for sale through
Acorn dealers at #149.95 (including VAT) to new A4 customers as well as
existing owners. In all instances the period of cover will start from the
date on which the A4 was purchased.
Henry Howarth, Acorn's Product Manager for portables, commented: "The A4
delivers all the benefits of Acorn's RISC OS environment in a notebook
format and is proving highly successful in all areas of our markets wherever
portability is needed.
"We have introduced these new support arrangements to offer our customers
both peace of mind and an assurance that, should it be needed, a responsive
and convenient support service is in place to assist them, with the minimum
of disruption."
Further information on the new A4 warranty cover is available from all Acorn
dealers.
