  4. The SUM facility allows you to add account balances to one another
  5. at regular intervals over a period to produce a 'Sum' account.
  6.  
  7. START DATE
  8.  
  9. Simply set this is the beginning of the period - the default is the
  10. current date minus one year
  11.  
  12. END DATE
  13.  
  14. This sets the end of the period - the default is the current date
  15.  
  16. INTERVAL
  17.  
  18. This is set automatically so that no more than 100 balance sums are
  19. produced in the period. Either a DAILY, WEEKLY or MONTHLY interval is
  20. used. Thus for a period of one year the total balances will be
  21. computed at weekly intervals.

  23. ACCOUNTS
  24.  
  25. Clicking MENU over the 'Accounts' area will bring up the normal
  26. 'Accounts' menu. Any single account or a GROUP of accounts (e.g
  27. 'Cash:') can be SELECTed from the menu. If ADJUST is used the menu
  28. will stay open for you to pick more accounts. Up to 10 selections can
  29. be made in total irrespective of the number of accounts in a group. As
  30. you pick accounts they will be added to the list in the order you pick
  31. them.

  35. This will delete the accounts list and reset the dates to their
  36. default values.

  38. SUM

  40. Clicking on the 'Sum' button will start the calculations. Every
  41. selected account will be loaded and its balance at each interval added
  42. to a 'Sum' balance. An hourglass will appear whilst these calculations
  43. take place and then a new window will open displaying the results and
  44. the original window will close.

  46. DISPLAY WINDOW

  48. This window lists all the individual accounts used in the sum
  49. calculations and then displays the dates and balances computed through
  50. the period together with a control panel allowing you to reset the
  51. initial balance to zero (Null), print the Sum account or start a new
  52. Sum account.

  54. SUM ACCOUNT
  55.  
  56. Only one Sum account exists at any one time. The last Sum account
  57. created becomes the Fixed:Sum account and is available for display
  58. from the SEE ACCOUNT menu. It is also available in the Graph facility
  59. for plotting as a line graph. If another Sum account is created it
  60. then overwrites the original account and becomes the new Sum account,
  61. this account is stored on disc and will not be deleted when !Pennies
  62. is quit.
