- SUM
- ===
-
- The SUM facility allows you to add account balances to one another
- at regular intervals over a period to produce a 'Sum' account.
-
- START DATE
-
- Simply set this is the beginning of the period - the default is the
- current date minus one year
-
- END DATE
-
- This sets the end of the period - the default is the current date
-
- INTERVAL
-
- This is set automatically so that no more than 100 balance sums are
- produced in the period. Either a DAILY, WEEKLY or MONTHLY interval is
- used. Thus for a period of one year the total balances will be
- computed at weekly intervals.
-
- ACCOUNTS
-
- Clicking MENU over the 'Accounts' area will bring up the normal
- 'Accounts' menu. Any single account or a GROUP of accounts (e.g
- 'Cash:') can be SELECTed from the menu. If ADJUST is used the menu
- will stay open for you to pick more accounts. Up to 10 selections can
- be made in total irrespective of the number of accounts in a group. As
- you pick accounts they will be added to the list in the order you pick
- them.
-
- CLEAR
-
- This will delete the accounts list and reset the dates to their
- default values.
-
- SUM
-
- Clicking on the 'Sum' button will start the calculations. Every
- selected account will be loaded and its balance at each interval added
- to a 'Sum' balance. An hourglass will appear whilst these calculations
- take place and then a new window will open displaying the results and
- the original window will close.
-
- DISPLAY WINDOW
-
- This window lists all the individual accounts used in the sum
- calculations and then displays the dates and balances computed through
- the period together with a control panel allowing you to reset the
- initial balance to zero (Null), print the Sum account or start a new
- Sum account.
-
- SUM ACCOUNT
-
- Only one Sum account exists at any one time. The last Sum account
- created becomes the Fixed:Sum account and is available for display
- from the SEE ACCOUNT menu. It is also available in the Graph facility
- for plotting as a line graph. If another Sum account is created it
- then overwrites the original account and becomes the new Sum account,
- this account is stored on disc and will not be deleted when !Pennies
- is quit.
