  15.  With some types of monitors, games will run faster than they were designed.
  16.  !SpeedCtrl can be used on any RISC OS machine, and will slow down the
  17.  video update - slowing down the game to the correct speed.
  18.  
  19.  If you are running your machine on a low resolution monitor or a TV, then
  20.  there is no need for you to use !SpeedCtrl.

  22.  To use !SpeedCtrl, simply:

  24.  - double click on !SpeedCtrl to display the Speed Control Panel.
  25.    Here you can select 'Full', 'Half', 'TV', or 'User defined' framerate.

  27.    Most games have been designed to run at 50Hz, but many monitors run at 60Hz, 
  28.    70Hz, 90Hz, and even 100Hz.
  29.    You should consult your monitor manual to determine the framerate for
  30.    Mode 13. Then select the appropriate option.

  32.    For instance, if you are running Mode 13 at 100Hz, select 'Half Framerate'
  33.    If you are running Mode 13 at 70Hz, select 'TV'.
  34.    
  35.    'Full' and 'Half' framerates guarantee that the game runs perfectly smoothly.
  36.    'TV' and 'User defined' guarantee that it will run at a specified speed.

  38.  - to disable !SpeedCtrl simply reload : Full framerate is the default selection.

  40.  !SpeedCtrl is (C) Paradise 1998,1999,2000 but is freeware - so you may
  41.  distribute it freely.
