The search area you have set is not valid - either it is too small, or in an area that is too difficult to find a loop in eg very start or very end of the sample.

The effect number that you have entered is one which is not currently used
or is too high.

TOP:'Found a undefined key ...'
Your keyboard definition in the Preferences contains a key which cannot
be used to play in data. Digital Symphony will use a different key, which
it will inform you of.
TOP:'I can't set such a logical length !'
You are trying to 'Set Len To' with a value that is out of range.
- Range allowed: &01 to &40
TOP:'Illegal value for MIDI channel.'
The value entered for the MIDI channel is not allowed. Digital Symphony
will use the channel 1 instead.
- Range allowed: 00 to 16
TOP:'Illegal Pattern Number'
You have entered, or attempted to copy/paste into a pattern which does not exit or has a number which is too high.
- First create a pattern to paste into, or use a pattern number in the
range 0000-4095 (&000-&FFF)
TOP:'Invalid speed/tempo ...'
The value entered for the speed or tempo is outside of the range allowed, so Digital Symphony has used a legal value for you.
- Ranges allowed are:
Speed: &001 to &0FF Tempo: &001 to &FFF
TOP:'Invalid X ...'
The value entered for the instrument, effect or effect value is outside of the range allowed, is not suitable, so Symphony has used a value of 0.
- Ranges Allowed:
Instruments: &00 to &3F
Effects: &00 to &3F Effect Values: &000 to &FFF
TOP:'Invalid value to fade to/from ....'
The value entered for the 'Fade.From' or 'Fade.To' is not valid, and so 0 has been used instead.

You have chosen the same key twice as different notes in the keyboard definition in the Preferences window. Digital Symphony will use a different key, which it will inform you of.
TOP:'Not enough memory to enter the monitor'
You don't have enough memory left to enter the monitor, which is mode 12.
This is quite a serious state to be in, and usually only appears on 1MB machines (hence the cheeky hint). It is quite difficult to obtain this
error (without trying) and so you should hardly ever see it.
- Use at least mode 12 for your RISC OS desktop.
TOP:'No Room'
The tune you wish to load will not fit into the memory available.
- Make some more memory availble by setting the buffer size to a greater
value in 'Preferences' and re-loading Digital Symphony.
TOP:'There are no X to edit'
You have attempted to enter an editor to edit sequences or patterns when you
haven't actually created/loaded any yet, and so there would be nothing to
edit.
- Create or load some patterns/sequence-positions before trying again.
TOP:'Unknown filetype, what do I have to do ?'
You have dragged a file which is not recognised by Digital Symphony.
- To interpret it as Sound/Pro-Tracker which has been mis-typed,
select 'Load it', otherwise 'Abort'
TOP:'Uncorrect filetype for X, what do I have to do ?'
You have loaded some patterns/sequences which don't have the filetype of DATA (&FFD) and so Digital Symphony does not know whether to continue loading them.
