  7.   The Ascii interface (GetAscii) has been greatly enhanced in order to
  8.   enable it to scan any number of locations for input files and accept
  9.   files without user information inside the file.

  87. *** Here are some important file name changes in PageGate ***

  89. File Name Changes: (since version 1.4)
  90.  
  91.   PageGate's main database file has been changed from pgedb.mdb to
  92.   pagegate.mdb.  It usually resides in the PageGate program directory.
  93.  
  94.   The mailbox format file (.mbf) used with the Mdaemon mail server has been
  95.   changed from notepage.mbf to pagegate.mbf.  It resides in the \mdaemon\app
  96.   directory
  97.  
  98.   The web interface's cgi program's name has changed from web2mail.exe to
  99.   webgate.exe.  It may reside in the \inetpub\cgi-bin directory or any other
  100.   directory you setup.

  102.   All of the above should be handled automaticaly by PageGate upgrade routine.  Please let me know if you have a problem with this.

  104.   NotePager Net's executeable file has changed from NotePagerNet.exe to
  105.   NPNet.exe.

  107.   The new sendpage program for the commandline/ascii interface is
  108.   sendpage.exe.  It's syntax is displayed if it is run without any commandline
  109.   options.

  111.   Anyone that is updating the database directly should be sure to take notice
  112.   of the name change.  In addition PageGate now uses Microsoft's latest
  113.   database engine (the files are part of the download and automatically
  114.   installed).  This may be a problem if you application is written to use an
  115.   older version of MS Access.

  118. Upgrade Information:
  119.  
  120.   If you are upgrading from an earlier version of PageGate, please use the
  121.   following procedure:
  122.  
  123.   1)  Make a full backup of your installation!!!
  124.  
  125.   2)  Uninstall the old version of PageGate by using the 'Add/Remove Programs'
  126.       option in the Windows control panel.  This will uninstall the program
  127.       files, but will leave the data files intact.
  128.  
  129.   3)  Install PageGate Version 2 using the instructions above.  Be sure to
  130.       specify the same installation directory for version 2 that was used by
  131.       the earlier version of PageGate.
  132.  
  133.   4)  Run pgadmin.exe (PageGate's Admin program) from PageGate's program
  134.       directory.  This will upgrade PageGate's database file without starting
  135.       the other modules.

  137.   5)  Quit out of PageGate and then start it as usual.
