  6. The interrupt and input/output (I/O) address for a PCI NIC are assigned
  7. by the BIOS.  These resources can not be configured using the 3Com
  8. Configuration/Diagnostic program. 
  9.           
  10. Windows 3.x or Windows for Workgroups (WFW)
  11. -------------------------------------------
  12. The 3Com AutoLink (TM) program can be used to configure the computer
  13. in a NetWare DOS client environment.  After connecting to a server, be 
  14. sure to run WSINSTALL for full Windows support. (Ask your network 
  15. administrator for the location of this Novell installation utility.)

  17. For non-NetWare environments, install the client software as specified by 
  18. your network operating system vendor.  Windows 3.x and WFW have internal 
  19. support for Microsoft networking environments.  Proceed to Windows to
  20. install these network drivers.

  23. Windows 95 and Windows 98
  24. -------------------------
  25. Proceed directly to Windows 95 or Windows 98.  Do not configure the NIC 
  26. using the 3Com EtherDisk diskette.  The Windows 95 Plug and Play feature 
  27. will complete the driver installation for Novell, Microsoft, and most
  28. other network operating systems.

  33. Proceed directly to Windows NT.  Do not configure the NIC using the
  34. 3Com EtherDisk diskette. In Windows NT, use the network icon in the
  35. control panel to install the network driver.
