  1.       3Com NDIS 2.01 installation notes for Artisoft LANtastic/AI

  4.  To install LANtastic AI version 5.0 as a DOS NDIS workstation, DOS must 
  5.  be installed on the target workstation C: drive, or you must have a
  6.  bootable DOS floppy.  Follow these steps:
  7.  
  8.  1. Insert the LANtastic/AI Disk # 1 of 2 diskette in drive A:.
  9.  
  10.  2. Type Install /DOS for a DOS client installation.
  11.  
  12.  3. A menu will appear.  One of the menu choices allows you to choose for
  13.     which network adapter you want the driver installed.  Pick the default
  14.     adapter.
  15.  
  16.  4. Copy all of the files from the NDIS Support for LANtastic diskette to
  17.     the C:\LANTASTI subdirectory created in step 3 above.
  18.  
  19.  5. Copy the EL59X.DOS driver from the EtherDisk's \NDIS\DOS subdirectory
  20.     to the C:\LANTASTI subdirectory.
  21.  
  22.  6. Edit CONFIG.SYS to include the following two line anywhere in the file.
  23.  
  24.         DEVICE=C:\LANTASTI\PROTMAN.DOS /I:C:\LANTASTI
  25.         DEVICE=C:\LANTASTI\EL59X.DOS
  26.  
  27.  7. In the LANTASTI subdirectory, edit STARTNET.BAT and modify the adapter
  28.  driver.

  35.  8. In the LANTASTI subdirectory, edit PROTOCOL.INI to include a section
  36.  for the EtherLink III:

  46.  9. Reboot the machine and use LANtastic as normal.
