  15.    1. The topic in this conference is the terminal program Terminate
  16.       and/or utilities related to the that program, including 3rd Party
  17.       developed programs which directly support or enhance the use of
  18.       Terminate.
  19.  
  20.    2. The use of the term "Terminate" within this conference is
  21.       restricted to defining a certain terminal program, the author of
  22.       which is Bo Bendtsen.  Said program being commonly referred
  23.       to and properly named: Terminate
  24.  
  25.       Any other use, form of discussion, or reference to the term
  26.       "Terminate" is strictly forbidden, being limited to discussion(s)
  27.       of ONLY that specified program authored by Bo Bendtsen.

  29.    3. This is an International Support Conference. Commercial business
  30.       inquiries, support, questions, items for-sale, and other
  31.       non-related information should be handled via Crash NetMail or
  32.       other media as indicated by the commercial distributors.

  34.    4. Terminate "feature" announcements, inquiries, and the general
  35.       discussion of Terminate and/or related 3rd Party developed
  36.       software as defined above, to include program technical assistance
  37.       by others from within the conference, are welcome.

  39.    5. Additional Gating of this conference into any network beyond
  40.       FidoNet is not permitted without written permission of the
  41.       Moderator and must be accompanied by a written verification of
  42.       Echolist database update before gating is allowed.  Request for
  43.       such Gating should be directed to 2:254/261@fidonet or
  44.       1:109/921@fidonet.

  46.    6. This conference is NOT limited to FidoNet; it is open to any
  47.       network and system that wishes to carry this conference (assuming
  48.       para. 5 is followed).  Messages in this conference must conform
  49.       with the FTSC (FidoNet Technical Standards Committee) format and
  50.       must contain both tear and origin lines.  The tear line may not be
  51.       longer than 35 characters including the --- characters.  The origin
  52.       line must fit on one 80 character wide CRT including the " #
  53.       Origin: " text.
  54.  
  55.    7. Please keep the amount of quoted text down to the BARE ESSENTIALS.
  56.       Do not quote SEEN-BY and/or " # Origin: " information unless it is
  57.       ABSOLUTELY necessary.  One of the biggest costs with distributed
  58.       mail conferences is the use and ABUSE of the quote feature.

  60.    8. Your message must contain sufficient information to allow a Reply
  61.       via NetMail through normal FidoNet distribution channels.
  62.  
  63.    9. Foul or harsh language is not tolerable and will not be accepted
  64.       as a standard for behavior within this conference.  If you do not
  65.       like what someone has to say for personal reasons, send that
  66.       person(s) a reply using NetMail - not EchoMail.

  68.   10. Eight-bit ASCII is not allowed in this conference.  All characters
  69.       in displayed message data (text/header) must be in the range 32 to
  70.       126, which rules out control characters. The  ONLY exceptions to
  71.       this rule are: if you need to show someone a translation table
  72.       that contains eight-bit ASCII, and/or the default TMAIL "arrow"
  73.       signature style.

  75.   11. File listings and advertisements are not welcome except from
  76.       authorized Terminate dealers, or from the author of Terminate.  3rd
  77.       Party developers whose programs directly support or enhance the
  78.       use of Terminate are specifically excluded from this paragraph.
  79.       Sample files and examples of batch files are welcome as they serve
  80.       a useful and constructive purpose.

  82.   12. Please keep "Thank you" and "This is a test" messages in NETMAIL,
  83.       where they belong.  People are paying a lot of money to
  84.       Import/Export this conference around the world, and if we can keep
  85.       unnecessary overhead down, everyone will be much happier.

  87.   13. Before posting queries and/or questions about problems and their
  88.       solution, please make sure you have read the documentation for the
  89.       program in question.  All too frequently, the questions asked can
  90.       be answered by simply reading a few paragraphs in the program's
  91.       documentation.

  93.   14. There are currently 3 Moderators.  Co-Moderators may be assigned as
  94.       needed.  If you have a problem with someone, please inform a
  95.       Moderator about it; Do NOT post "Flames", etc. in this
  96.       conference!!

  98.   15. Messages in the Terminat conference are expected to remain "On
  99.       Topic" at ALL times.  Messages not related to the actual use of,
  100.       technical support of, or related programs and utilities of,
  101.       Terminate are specifically NOT allowed in this conference.

  103.   16. If any of the official moderators inform you that your message(s)
  104.       are "Off Topic", or request that you take your theme to NetMail,
  105.       please do so.
