  2.  Conference rules for the R18_RC5 echo:                   rev. 27 Mar 98
  3.  Posting Frequency: 1st and 15th of the month.

  6.  1. The Region 18 RC5 Echo (R18_RC5) is a Fidonet Region 18 echomail
  7.     conference dedicated to the discussion of the Bovine RC5 cracking
  8.     effort. This cracking effort is sponsored by distributed.net and
  9.     uses client software developed by them. Many platforms are supported
  10.     and discussed. Topics include, but are not limited to, networking,
  11.     multitasking, multiple clients and proxy servers as the relate to
  12.     the RC5 cracking effort.

  14.  2. Given the nature of this echo, I am fairly flexible on the context,
  15.     but should I inform anyone that it is getting Off-Topic, I assume
  16.     you will take it serious, drop it, and not force me to take further
  17.     action.

  19.  3. * NEW MEMBERS HELP *
  20.     When posting a reply to a new R18 RC5 Team Member regarding setup
  21.     or other methods, post only author-documented methods.  If you use
  22.     un-doccumented methods in your operation of the clients, you may
  23.     state so in your message, and advise the recipient that they may
  24.     request more information from you. But do not post such as a
  25.     definitive answer to the sysops request for setup help.

  27.  4. * AVAILABILITY *
  28.     This echo is available to all systems that are members of Fidonet
  29.     Region 18. This includes Point Systems and all systems with full
  30.     Fidonet node status. Everyone is welcome as one of the main reasons
  31.     for this echo is to expand interest and participation of the Team.

  33.  5. This echo is not to be gated out of FidoNet without the Moderator's
  34.     permission. This rule may be expanded to read "R18 only" if needed.
  35.  
  36.  6. * BASIC RULES *
  37.     The conference rules are simple. As this is a speciality technical
  38.     echo, participants are expected to be courteous and respectful of
  39.     each other. The discussions should remain on-topic at all times.
  40.  
  41.  7. Gripes, Flames etc. must be handled via netmail, not in the echo. If
  42.     you wish to file a complaint about someone using the R18_RC5 echo,
  43.     do it via netmail.  Complaints posted in the echo will be ignored,
  44.     and considered Off-Topic!!
  45.  
  46.  8. BBS ads, research questions not related to RC5, flames, product
  47.     wars, and the like are unwelcome here. If you feel that a particular
  48.     product is better in certain applications, please cite actual
  49.     technical reasons, and avoid opinions.
  50.  
  51.  9. * BOTTOM LINE *
  52.     Enjoy, and learn from each other.
  53.     Please let the moderator take care of problems.
