  23. The E.D.G.E. Online FidoNet conference, website and mailing list are
  24.  
  25. dedicated to presenting thought provoking perspectives on Endtime
  26.  
  27. prophetic events and other topics of interest related to the Holy
  28.  
  29. Scriptures. Discussions revolve around articles posted by the
  30.  
  31. Moderator. This list/echo is not affiliated with Catholics,
  32.  
  33. Protestants, Baptists, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Pentecostals,
  34.  
  35. Seventh Day Adventists, Muslims, Buddhists, Native Americans, New
  36.  
  37. Agers, etc. This means that you are NOT to come to the list/echo with
  38.  
  39. the specific purpose of only pushing one of these belief systems on
  40.  
  41. the participants. You must leave it at the door, or else I may show
  42.  
  43. YOU to do the door! The list/echo is to exalt The Truth of the
  44.  
  45. straight Word of God WITHOUT denominational attachments.

  49. The list/echo is moderated by a free-thinking Christian who long ago
  50.  
  51. became disillusioned with and abandoned organized religion, yet who
  52.  
  53. still maintains a strong faith in the Bible as the inspired Word of

  55. God. Similar free-thinkers who have felt rejected by or who have
  56.  
  57. become dissatisfied with major denominations may find a comfortable
  58.  
  59. home and haven here.

  63. 1. PARTICIPATION: While primarily geared towards Christians, anyone
  64.  
  65. who has a SINCERE interest in understanding Christian beliefs may
  66.  
  67. participate in the list/echo. However, you MUST show utmost respect
  68.  
  69. for the God we worship, and the Bible we believe in. In
  70.  
  71. participating, your primary motivation should be to learn more about
  72.  
  73. Christianity with the goal of possibly becoming a Christian yourself.

  77. 2. AUTHORITY: A core belief of the list/echo is that the Bible is the
  78.  
  79. primary authoritative inspired Word of God above any other text or
  80.  
  81. book. All other works will be judged by how much they agree with the
  82.  
  83. Bible. If they are not in agreement, they will not be discussed. The
  84.  
  85. KJV Bible is the official Bible of the Moderator with other texts
  86.  
  87. used as supplementary aids when necessary and appropriate.

  91. 3. CORE BELIEF: A core belief of the list/echo is that the remission
  92.  
  93. of sins comes only through the atoning Blood of Jesus Christ on the
  94.  
  95. Cross. We accept the free Gift of Eternal Life as being a matter of

  97. Grace and Mercy alone through Faith and do not believe than man can
  98.  
  99. save himself through his own good works regardless of his efforts.

  103. 4. TOPIC RESTRICTIONS: The Urantia Book, Wicca and other forms of
  104.  
  105. magic or occult practices, homosexuality/lesbianism, anarchism,
  106.  
  107. abortion rights, evolution, New Age thought and any other practice,
  108.  
  109. belief or doctrine which is contrary to or which seeks to discredit
  110.  
  111. the Bible will not be promoted in the list/echo. To discuss them from
  112.  
  113. a Biblical perspective to show how they are wrong is permissible. Any
  114.  
  115. other topic may be discussed as long as it revolves around the Bible.

  117. This can include Salvation and Eternal Life, Christian walk with the
  118.  
  119. Lord, Endtime prophetic events, news and political events which may
  120.  
  121. affect our Faith, the spiritual aspect of the alien/UFO phenomenon,
  122.  
  123. science and technology as it relates to Endtime events, etc.

  127. 5. BEHAVIOR: No personal attack shall be made against another member
  128.  
  129. of the list/echo. You may question what you consider as unscriptural
  130.  
  131. doctrine, but you must not attack the person(s) espousing them.

  133. Absolutely no cussing, sexual vulgarities, racial slurs, sly
  134.  
  135. inuendos, flaming, or provocation will be permitted at any time.

  139. 6. NEGATIVE DEBATES: The list/echo will not be used as a platform to
  140.  
  141. draw people into long drawn-out debates where the ultimate goal of
  142.  
  143. the argumentive party is to discredit the Bible. This echo is NOT to
  144.  
  145. debate the validity of the Bible! If you do it, you are OUT!

  149. 7. MODERATION: All moderating will be done by the list/echo Moderator
  150.  
  151. whose word is final. Any attempt by a member to moderate another
  152.  
  153. member will be met with a reprimand. Any continued insistence on
  154.  
  155. usurping the Moderator's authority will be cause for immediate and
  156.  
  157. permanent removal from the list/echo. All serious problems will be
  158.  
  159. dealt with by the Moderator in private netmail. Any attempt to try to
  160.  
  161. cause division by publicly criticizing the Moderator's actions or not
  162.  
  163. heeding his warnings will also result in your immediate removal.

  167. 8. OPEN-MINDEDNESS: No one knows it all or has a monopoly on The
  168.  
  169. Truth. The Bible has many deep prophetic passages open to a lot of
  170.  
  171. different interpretations. The best way to convince others of your
  172.  
  173. views is to present a solid scriptural basis for them. In presenting
  174.  
  175. your views, personal speculation must be stated as such.

  179. 9. OFFICIAL LANGUAGE: The official language of the mailing list and
  180.  
  181. FidoNet echo is English. No others are permitted without a clear
  182.  
  183. accurate translation immediately following each paragraph. Foreign
  184.  
  185. languages should be kept to an absolute minimum.

  189. 10. INTER-ECHO DEBATES: Problems you may have with a Moderator or
  190.  
  191. participant in another FidoNet echo will NOT be discussed in this
  192.  
  193. echo. Please leave them at the door. Your participation in this echo

  195. will be determined solely by your conduct in this echo and NOT by
  196.  
  197. your behavior in other conferences. However, if you have a history of

  199. criticizing this echo or its Moderator in another echo, you will not
