  49. as this text file and RAGE.CON are included.

  52. ABOUT RAGE.CON
  53. ==================================================
  54. This con file is tailored for reducing the annoying 'black out' effect
  55. at long range. In RAGE.MAP it can get extremely intrusive. To use this
  56. file, simply make a backup of your original USER.CON, copy rage.con
  57. to your duke3d directory, then delete user.con and rename rage.con as
  58. user.con.

  62. It is strongly recommended you use this con file. Also, I recommend you
  63. use this con file ALL the time, because it will not conflict with
  64. default con files when playing over modem. So, if someone is using a 
  65. default con file and you have rage.con installed, when you connect,
  66. you wont get 'out of sync' like it would if you used a different
  67. con file.

  69. It doesn't give you a significant advantage, either... so dont be afraid
  70. to use it.

  72. The parameter this con file edits is 'DEFAULT VISIBILITY' which it
  73. changes from 512 to 8. You can set it back manually if you forget
  74. to make a backup of your user.con.
