==================================================== Title : The Halls of Rage Filename : RAGE.MAP Author : Stranger Email address : None at this time (get in touch with Tomrox10 on AOL if you want to contact me) Description : A gothic, ominous environment with excellent architecture and lighting. This map is a dukematch only level (there are no monsters). You can explore it in single player, but dont expect much competition. Find the authoring info chambers, if you can. Let hate be your crosshair... Let rage pull the trigger. I strongly recommend you use the CON file included when playing this map (explained in this text file). Additional credits to : Bitoku and Tomrox10 for playtesting =================================================== * Play information * Episode and level# : Default (suggested music to switch to: spook.mid floghorn.mid) NOTE: This map will only work with duke3d atomic edition/plutonium pack. You may distribute it, as long as this text file and RAGE.CON are included. ================================================== ABOUT RAGE.CON ================================================== This con file is tailored for reducing the annoying 'black out' effect at long range. In RAGE.MAP it can get extremely intrusive. To use this file, simply make a backup of your original USER.CON, copy rage.con to your duke3d directory, then delete user.con and rename rage.con as user.con. Got all that? Good. It is strongly recommended you use this con file. Also, I recommend you use this con file ALL the time, because it will not conflict with default con files when playing over modem. So, if someone is using a default con file and you have rage.con installed, when you connect, you wont get 'out of sync' like it would if you used a different con file. It doesn't give you a significant advantage, either... so dont be afraid to use it. The parameter this con file edits is 'DEFAULT VISIBILITY' which it changes from 512 to 8. You can set it back manually if you forget to make a backup of your user.con.
