Chestnut's "Too Many Typefonts" CD-ROM contains pretty good assortment
of freeware and shareware fonts. I counted 391 ATM and 512 Truetype
fonts. Most seem be developed in Fontographer or ports from Fontmonger
or Alltype which makes me question the original source of some of the
fonts in question.
Also on the disc are numerous utilities, printer drivers, text files
and programs. Some of them appear to be ancient. For example, a
*very* early version of Ghostscript/DOS is included. There are some
gems as well, such as Typeview, a freeware Postscript type viewer with
print capabilities that runs under Windows.
The file management system on the disc is one of the best I've seen. A
*real* version of LIST is also included which makes it easy to view, run
and manipulate files.
I found the disc to be well worth the $19 I paid.
Four Stars ****
