Just as an aside and addition to what Gaelyne has said, is right
now, CommNet is testing an interface with FidoNet. With luck, many of the
CommNet boards will carry the Fido sigs.

One company that is fairly close to you is CMD. They ARE the best
support for the Commodore 64/128. Right off the top of my head, I can't
remember their 800 phone number, but if I find it, I will send it on to
you.

G'day COMMODOR@UBVM.CC.BUFFALO.EDU,

Christopher wrote:
When I select download for a file I get the option to Save File to
Disk and another option which is something like "Local Computer"
something or other. This last option starts a direct download to my
C=, but the "Save File to Disk" option downloads the file to some
"mystery" computer, but I have no idea where it saves it to or how to
access that saved file.
If I can, indeed, access that file from this "mystery" computer, would
it be possible for me to forward that file while the file is still in
the "mystery" computer?
Thank you in advance! :-)
Please send your responses to craftyc@cris.com as I will be away from
this email address for the 4th of July holiday.
Chris, the mystery computer is the computer you're connected to.
When on cris.com, just type "dir" from the directory listing and you
will see the file. To download it with Ymodem, type "sb filename" (type
the name of the actual file), press return and start your file transfer
with your computer. Easy as pi. ;-)
Cheers,
Gaelyne
