Composition of Bones
Page 3
Broken bones will heal themselves. The broken ends must be placed together again and held in place by a cast. The body then does the repair job.
1) A clot forms between the broken ends.
2) Fibres are made in the clot.
3) Bone cells move among the fibres.
4) The bone is repaired and a small lump remains.
