  3. │ This program is designed for the CHESS enthusiasts who frequently will set │
  4. │ up a CHESS board to replay a CHESS game presented in some printed form.    │
  5. │                                                                            │
  6. │ The source for the game may come from a CHESS book, a CHESS magazine or    │
  7. │ the CHESS column in a local newspaper or the players own games.            │
  8. │ Whatever the source, the purpose of this program is for the user to be     │
  9. │ able to transfer the CHESS MOVES instructions directly from the printed    │
  10. │ media into a computer batch file, then call for this file when invoking    │
  11. │ program CHESSRP3 and have the computer play the game.                      │
  12. │                                                                            │
  13. │ The advantages of this approach are obvious:                               │
  14. │                                                                            │
  15. │ . Having the computer taking charge of the actual MOVES, leaves the player │
  16. │   free to concentrate on the game.                                         │
  17. │ . Once the MOVES batch file has been created, the GAME can become part of  │
  18. │   a permanent LIBRARY of CHESS games, to be recalled at will.              │
  19. │ . Likewise, it can be SHARED or TRADED with other CHESS players who are    │
  20. │   users of program CHESSRP3.                                               │
