  1.
  2.         DEEP SPACE NINE: "Chimera" - REV. 12/16/98 - ACT FOUR       36.
  3.
  4. 41   CONTINUED:    (3)
  5.
  6.     They both know why, because Odo's a changeling. But
  7.     the official legal reason is this:
  8.
  9.                     SISKO
  10.             Because you're a witness to the
  11.             alleged crime.
  12.
  13.                     ODO
  14.                 (sardonic)
  15.             That's a relief. For a moment I
  16.             thought you were going to say
  17.             it's because I'm a changeling.
  18.
  19.     And with that, he turns and EXITS. Off Sisko and
  20.     Worf as they watch him go...
  21.
  22. 41A  INT. PROMENADE/SECURITY OFFICE
  23.
  24.     Odo is heading for his office when Quark calls out
  25.     to him.
  26.
  27.                     QUARK
  28.             Odo.
  29.                 (approaching)
  30.             I heard about your friend. Rumor
  31.             has it the Klingons want to put
  32.             him on trial.
  33.
  34.                     ODO
  35.                 (heading inside)
  36.             They're the ones who should be on
  37.             trial. If they'd attacked anyone
  38.             other than a changeling, they
  39.             would be.
  40.
  41.     Odo is expecting Quark to disagree with him, but
  42.     instead --
  43.
  44.                     QUARK
  45.             You're probably right.
  46.
  47.     Odo looks at him with surprise.
  48.
  49.                     QUARK
  50.             That fog episode certainly didn't
  51.             help matters.
  52.
  53.                     ODO
  54.             He was only doing what comes
  55.             naturally to us.
  56.
  57.                     QUARK
  58.             You've never pulled a stunt like
  59.             that.
  60.
