  9.     An unconscious Molly-18 lies on a bio-bed. We start 
  10.     CLOSE on her HAND, where we see her CRAGGY, DIRT-
  11.     STAINED FINGERNAILS, then PAN UP her ARM to see the 
  12.     SCARS and SCRATCHES left by her difficult and dangerous 
  13.     life. We MOVE UP to her DIRT-SMUDGED FACE, her MATTED 
  14.     HAIR, then PULL BACK to REVEAL Bashir scanning her with 
  15.     a medical TRICORDER.
  16.  
  17.                     BASHIR 
  18.             There's no doubt about it. The 
  19.             DNA sequences match. This is 
  20.             definitely Molly.
  21.  
  22.     REVEAL O'Brien and Keiko looking on from nearby. 
  23.     They're still trying to assimilate what happened, and 
  24.     Bashir can see that they're both pretty fragile and 
  25.     require delicate handling.
  26.  
  27.                     BASHIR 
  28.             My readings indicate she's about 
  29.             eighteen.
  30.  
  31.                     O'BRIEN
  32.                 (self-recriminating) 
  33.             We pulled her out ten years too 
  34.             late.
  35.  
  36.                     BASHIR
  37.                 (gently) 
  38.             It's a miracle you found a way to 
  39.             get her back at all.
  40.  
  41.                     KEIKO
  42.                 (clutching at straws) 
  43.             If you tried again, maybe you 
  44.             could pull her out when she was 
  45.             still a little girl.
  46.  
  47.     Keiko hasn't thought through what this means, and it 
  48.     falls to Bashir to deliver the news.
  49.  
  50.                     BASHIR 
  51.             If you retrieve little Molly, 
  52.             there'd be no one to grow up and 
  53.             become this Molly. You'd be
  54.             erasing her existence.
