  10.     Kira can't believe what she's hearing --

  13.             You defied the will of the 
  14.             Prophets. And you did it because 
  15.             you couldn't stand the fact that 
  16.             a human, an infidel, had a 
  17.             stronger faith than you. The 
  18.             Emissary was willing to sacrifice 
  19.             his own son to serve the Prophets.

  21.     Kira's struck a chord, but Winn refuses to show it.

  23.                     WINN 
  24.             My faith is as pure as the 
  25.             Emissary's.

  27.                     KIRA 
  28.             I think you're confusing faith 
  29.             with ambition.

  31.     Winn has heard enough

  34.             I'm not confusing anything, child, 
  35.             you are. The Prophets chose you 
  36.             as their instrument, that doesn't 
  37.             mean you can speak for them.

  39.     But Kira's on a roll -- if anything, her experience 
  40.     with the Prophets has given her clarity, and the 
  41.     courage to speak her mind.

  44.             Because of your interference, 
  45.             the Reckoning was stopped. The 
  46.             Evil still exists. And I'm not 
  47.             sure even the Prophets know what 
  48.             that means for Bajor.

  50.     For once, Winn is speechless. Her features falter as 
  51.     she realizes Kira's right. After a silent beat, she 
  52.     pulls her robes tighter and, mustering as much dignity 
  53.     as she can, EXITS through the airlock. Off Kira's
