  10.     about twenty feet apart, their eyes focused intently on 
  11.     each other. The Kai watches the momentous 
  12.     confrontation with a mixture of awe and fear. Sisko 
  13.     steps forward --
  14.  
  15.                     SISKO
  16.             No. Not my son.
  17.  
  18.     The combatants ignore him. In desperation, Sisko turns 
  19.     to his son. Jake ignores him, staring deeply into Kira's eyes.
  20.  
  21.                     SISKO
  22.             Take me instead.
  23.  
  24.     Jake does not even glance at his father. Instead, he 
  25.     smiles malevolently at Kira.
  26.  
  27.                     JAKE/PAH-WRAITH
  28.             Your Emissary offers himself to
  29.             us. His faith wavers.
  30.  
  31.     Sisko can't resist the impulse to step toward Jake and 
  32.     try to intervene, but Jake raises a hand and an unseen 
  33.     telekinetic force HURLS Sisko backward to the ground.

  35. 47   KIRA AND JAKE (OPTICAL)

  37.     ENERGY TENDRILS begin to whip and snake around their
  38.     bodies -- Kira's are WHITE, Jake's an angry RED.
