  21.     Sloan holds out his hand, which Chandler fills with a 
  22.     PADD.

  24.                     SLOAN
  25.                 (reads from PADD) 
  26.             Starfleet Special Order Six-Six-
  27.             Seven-One-Five, gives me authority 
  28.             to neutralize security threats to 
  29.             Deep Space Nine by "whatever means 
  30.             necessary."
  31.                 (to Bashir) 
  32.             Doctor, you're about to spend the 
  33.             rest of this war in a maximum 
  34.             security cell. Unless...
  35.  
  36.     Sloan holds his hand out and Chandler hands him another 
  37.     PADD, which he extends toward Bashir.
  38.  
  39.                     SLOAN
  40.             ... you'd care to add your 
  41.             thumbprint to this confession.
  42.                 (off Bashir's outraged 
  43.                 stare) 
  44.             We can reword it if it doesn't 
  45.             meet your exacting standards.

  47.     A beat as Bashir stares angrily at his tormentor. Then --

  49.                     BASHIR 
  50.             You can take your confession and 
  51.             toss it out the nearest airlock.

  53.                     SLOAN
  54.                 (grim smile) 
  55.             I thought so.
  56.                 (to Chandler)
