  16.             Then as long as I'm in command, 
  17.             I'll see Doctor Bashir whenever I 
  18.             please. Furthermore, from now on 
  19.             I'll sit in on all interrogation 
  20.             sessions to make sure that his 
  21.             rights are observed. Do I make 
  22.             myself clear?

  24.                     SLOAN
  25.                 (backing off) 
  26.             I believe so.

  28.     There is something too smooth and too reasonable in 
  29.     Sloan's backpedaling. It hints at the possibility that 
  30.     he's secretly pleased with Sisko's response.

  32.                     SLOAN
  33.                 (thin smile) 
  34.             Well then, we'll see each other 
  35.             tomorrow.
  36.                 (nods) 
  37.             In the meantime, I'll leave you to 
  38.             your conversation.

  40.     Sloan turns and EXITS. Bashir is reassured by Sisko's 
  41.     forceful display.

  43.                     BASHIR 
  44.             I appreciate your help, sir.

  47.             We'll get this straightened out, 
  48.             I promise you.

  50.     Bashir looks into Sisko's eyes and believes him.

  52. 27   INT. WARDROOM
  53.  
  54.     Sisko and Bashir sit side-by-side at the table, which 
  55.     is stacked with PADDS. Sloan paces the room with a 
  56.     PADD in hand, once again presenting a moving target to 
  57.     his suspect. The weary appearance of Bashir and Sisko 
  58.     tells us that this interrogation has been going on for 
  59.     quite some time.
