  9.             We were celebrating.

  12.                 (smiling) 
  13.             Whatever.

  15.                     BASHIR 
  16.             They're really quite brilliant. 
  17.             When we actually got down to 
  18.             working, it was incredible. We 
  19.             were all on the same wavelength, 
  20.             talking in shorthand, finishing 
  21.             each other's sentences -- I've 
  22.             never had that with anyone else.

  24.     O'Brien takes this in --
  25.  
  26.                     O'BRIEN 
  27.             After being around them, I can see 
  28.             how the rest of us might seem kind 
  29.             of... uncomplicated.
  30.  
  31.     Though O'Brien tosses this off as a joke, Bashir can 
  32.     see that he means it on some level -- some part of him 
  33.     is wondering what these new people in Bashir's life 
  34.     will mean to their friendship. Bashir lets him know 
  35.     how he feels with the same type of humor.

  37.                     BASHIR 
  38.             I wouldn't say that, exactly. 
  39.             More like... slow.

  41.                     O'BRIEN
  42.                 (smiles) 
  43.             Must be frustrating for you.

  46.             I don't mind. It makes me feel 
  47.             superior.

  50.             Glad to be of service.

  53.             I appreciate it.
  54.                 (with mock gravity) 
  55.             But even so, it's not always easy 
  56.             to walk amongst the common people.
