  12.     Strangely, Bashir hears nothing.  (NOTE: The audience
  13.     will never hear this noise.) He looks over and sees
  14.     Lauren lying on the couch with a pillow over her head.
  15.     Patrick is covering his ears, and even Sarina is
  16.     whimpering softly. Bashir cocks his head, listens.

  18.                     BASHIR
  19.             What noise?

  21.                     JACK
  22.                 (suddenly paranoid)
  23.             What kind of sick game are you
  24.             people playing?

  26.                     BASHIR
  27.             What are you talking about?

  30.             Can't you hear it?

  37.     A moment, then Bashir seems to hear something.

  44.             Yes. Thank god!

  46.     Bashir's face tells us that once you're on to it, this 
  47.     is a very annoying noise indeed.
