  6.     Somewhere behind her we see SARINA, a ghost-like 
  7.     apparition in her late twenties. Pale and drawn, she 
  8.     never speaks. She always seems to be hovering on the 
  9.     edge of things -- we never see her move, she just seems 
  10.     to appear in places.

  12.                     JACK 
  13.             Why? Am I talking too fast? 
  14.             Having trouble keeping up, Doctor?
  15.  
  16.                     LOEWS 
  17.             I just don't want you to get 
  18.             upset.
  19.  
  20.     PATRICK, a child-like man in his fifties, ambles up to 
  21.     Doctor Loews. He looks scared, lost --
  22.  
  23.                     PATRICK 
  24.             Please don't leave us here, Karen. 
  25.             Please.
  26.  
  27.                     LOEWS
  28.                 (reassuring) 
  29.             It's only for a few weeks, 
  30.             Patrick.

  32.     Jack can't resist taunting Patrick --

  35.             You know what they're going to do 
  36.             to us, don't you? You know why 
  37.             they carted us halfway across the 
  38.             quadrant? They're going to 
  39.             experiment on us.

  41.                     LOEWS 
  42.             Stop it, Jack.

  44.     Patrick starts to fight back tears --

  47.             They want to find out what makes 
  48.             our "genetically engineered" 
  49.             brains tick. They're going to cut 
  50.             our heads open and see what comes 
  51.             out!

  53.     He spins away with manic glee, delighted to have upset 
  54.     Patrick.
