  7.     something in the other direction.

  12.     He walks forward. There's something lying on the 
  13.     ground. Sisko examines it. It's a dead human body. 
  14.     Eddington joins him.
  15.  
  16.                     EDDINGTON 
  17.             Vance.
  18.  
  19.                     SISKO
  20.             You knew him?
  21.  
  22.                     EDDINGTON 
  23.             He was a shuttle pilot... and a 
  24.             friend.
  25.  
  26.     Sisko looks up. There's another body farther down the 
  27.     alley.
  28.  
  29.                     SISKO 
  30.             There're more.
  31.  
  32.     Sisko and Eddington move to the next body. They can 
  33.     see yet another body up ahead, at the opening to a 
  34.     plaza.

  36. 66   EXT. MAQUIS SETTLEMENT - PLAZA - NIGHT

  38.     Sisko and Eddington follow the trail of bodies into the 
  39.     plaza. It just gets worse. The courtyard is littered 
  40.     with dead Maquis. It's a nightmarish scene.

  42. 67   CLOSE ON EDDINGTON

  44.     As he walks among the slain. These are people he 
  45.     knows. Friends, comrades in arms.

  47.                     EDDINGTON 
  48.             My God.

  50.     Eddington stops, stares at the bodies.
