65   CONTINUED:

	Eddington starts to go one way, but Sisko spots 
	something in the other direction.

					SISKO 
			Wait.

	He walks forward. There's something lying on the 
	ground. Sisko examines it. It's a dead human body. 
	Eddington joins him.

					EDDINGTON 
			Vance.

					SISKO
			You knew him?

					EDDINGTON 
			He was a shuttle pilot... and a 
			friend.

	Sisko looks up. There's another body farther down the 
	alley.

					SISKO 
			There're more.

	Sisko and Eddington move to the next body. They can 
	see yet another body up ahead, at the opening to a 
	plaza.

66   EXT. MAQUIS SETTLEMENT - PLAZA - NIGHT 

	Sisko and Eddington follow the trail of bodies into the 
	plaza. It just gets worse. The courtyard is littered 
	with dead Maquis. It's a nightmarish scene.

67   CLOSE ON EDDINGTON

	As he walks among the slain. These are people he 
	knows. Friends, comrades in arms.

					EDDINGTON 
			My God.

	Eddington stops, stares at the bodies.

					EDDINGTON
			This wasn't supposed to happen.
