DEEP SPACE NINE: "Blaze... " - REV. 03/21/97 - ACT FOUR 39.
ACT FOUR
FADE IN:
55 EXT. MAQUIS SETTLEMENT - NIGHT - CONTINUOUS (OPTICAL)
The two Jem'Hadar soldiers quickly get over their
initial shock of seeing Sisko and Eddington and raise
their weapons. Sisko reacts quickly, shoving Eddington
out of harm's way and barely getting to cover before the
Jem'Hadar open fire.
56 NEW ANGLE (OPTICAL)
On Sisko and Eddington, hiding behind some storage
drums. Phaser fire flashes over their heads. Sisko
looks approvingly at the drums.
SISKO
Duridium. That should hold them
off for a while.
(turns to Eddington)
I thought you said the Jem'Hadar
would never find this place.
EDDINGTON
I didn't think they would.
(a beat)
I was wrong.
Eddington looks worried. He searches for an idea.
EDDINGTON
I say we rush them. In this fog,
they'll have as much chance of
hitting each other as hitting us.
SISKO
Too risky.
EDDINGTON
You never would've made it in the
Maquis with that kind of attitude.
SISKO
It's not me I'm worried about.
It's you. If you get killed,
there'll be no way to stop the
missiles.
Sisko thinks for a beat, then hands Eddington the phaser.
SISKO
Take this. I'll circle around...
try to draw their fire. You
should be able to catch them off
guard when they come after me.
