DEEP SPACE NINE: "Blaze... " - REV. 03/21/97 - ACT THREE 38.
52 CONTINUED:
SISKO
These tunnels are manmade.
EDDINGTON
I know. I helped dig them myself.
They continue walking.
CUT TO:
53 EXT. MAQUIS SETTLEMENT - NIGHT
A heavy tulle fog partially obstructs our view of this
frontier town. There's a well in the center of a small
plaza. We hold on the well for a beat. Suddenly we
see a hand grab hold of the lip of the well. Eddington
pulls himself up out of the well. Sisko follows.
SISKO
Now where?
EDDINGTON
Give me a minute to get my
bearings. It's been a while.
Sisko looks distracted, like he's heard something.
SISKO
Do you hear something?
Eddington listens. We hear movement, but it's muffled
by the fog and we're not sure what direction it's
coming from.
Eddington's about to activate his palm beacon, but
Sisko stops him, shakes his head and puts his finger to
his lips. Slowly and carefully, they take a few more
steps into the fog, both straining to see just a few
yards ahead of them.
54 NEW ANGLE - THEIR POV
As suddenly two figures emerge from the fog. They're
Jem'Hadar soldiers. They're only a few feet away.
And off this moment of surprise, we...
FADE OUT.
