  9.             fight the Jem'Hadar guards in the 
  10.             camp...
  11.                 (off his nod) 
  12.             Each day they would call me to the 
  13.             ring and each day I would fight. 
  14.             But then, there came a day when 
  15.             I... wavered.

  18.             You mean you didn't want to go 
  19.             back into the ring?

  21.                     WORF
  22.             No. I mean that I considered 
  23.             letting them kill me. It seemed 
  24.             like the only way out.
  25.                 (beat) 
  26.             Just before I went into the ring, 
  27.             Martok turned to wish me 
  28.             success... and then he saw what 
  29.             I was planning -- saw it in my 
  30.             eyes. It was a moment of 
  31.             Tova'dok.

  34.             Of what?

  37.             There is no human word for it. It 
  38.             is a moment of... clarity between 
  39.             two warriors on the field of 
  40.             battle. Much is said without the 
  41.             need for words. In that moment, 
  42.             Martok knew what was in my mind.
  43.                 (beat) 
  44.             Once I realized that he saw my 
  45.             intention to give up, I could no 
  46.             longer go through with it. I went 
  47.             back into the ring... and fought 
  48.             once more.

  50.     A quiet beat as Sisko studies the face of this man he 
  51.     knows so well and yet doesn't know at all. Worf 
  52.     immediately feels uncomfortable.

  58.     Sisko picks up a PADD and makes a few entries.
