  8.     Bashir and Garak walk between the barracks and talk 
  9.     quietly among themselves. Garak is a bitter man at the 
  10.     moment. And he is venting that bitterness in front of 
  11.     his friend.

  13.                     GARAK
  14.             I never should've come here. I 
  15.             should've let that monster die 
  16.             alone and forgotten.

  18.     Bashir tries to lighten the moment.

  20.                     BASHIR
  21.             Frankly, I'm glad you came. 
  22.                 (smiles)
  23.             Misery loves company.

  25.     But Garak isn't in the mood for jokes.

  33.             forgave him. And now, here at the 
  34.             end, I thought maybe, just maybe,

  38.             From what I've seen of him in the 
  39.             last month, he doesn't come across 
  40.             as the forgiving type.

  43.             I was a fool. Let this be a 
  44.             lesson to you, doctor... perhaps 
  45.             the most valuable I can teach 
  46.             you... Sentiment is the greatest 
  47.             weakness of all.
