  9.             were killed, including Gul Pirak's 
  10.             entire family. Twenty-three 
  11.             others were crippled. Don't you 
  12.             feel guilty? Don't you feel 
  13.             ashamed of what you did?

  15.     But Kira has her own rage and fury which nearly matches 
  16.     his.

  19.             None of you should've been on 
  20.             Bajor! It wasn't your world. For 
  21.             fifty years you raped our planet 
  22.             and killed our people. You lived 
  23.             on our land and took the food from 
  24.             our mouths, so I don't care if you 
  25.             held a phaser in your hand or 
  26.             ironed shirts for a living. You 
  27.             were all guilty and you were all 
  28.             legitimate targets!

  30.     Silaran steps back in revulsion, hating everything 
  31.     about the woman he holds captive in the chair.

  34.             And that's what makes you a 
  35.             murderer. Indiscriminate 
  36.             killing... no sense of morality... 
  37.             no thought given to the 
  38.             consequences of your actions. 
  39.                 (beat)
  40.             That's what makes us different.

  43.             I was a soldier. You're just a 
  44.             bitter old man out for revenge.

  47.             I am bringing the guilty to 
  48.             justice. And unlike you I take 
  49.             care to protect the innocent. I 
  50.             could've killed every monk in that 
  51.             cavern or everyone on the
  52.             runabout, or half the population 
  53.             of Deep Space Nine, but I didn't. 
  54.             Only the guilty have died.

  56.             And that's why even though your 
  57.             actions have condemned you, the 
  58.             life of your child will be spared.

  60.     Silaran retreats into the shadows again. Kira's 
  61.     apprehension level rises.
