  10. 1    INT. BAJORAN CAVERN
  11.  
  12.     A place of meeting and meditation somewhere on Bajor. 
  13.     The cavern floor is spotless stone and there are a few 
  14.     simple religious ARTIFACTS around the cavern, including 
  15.     a suspended CANDLEHOLDER which is UNLIT at the moment. 
  16.     Five N.D. Bajoran Monks are sitting down cross-legged 
  17.     on the floor around the artifacts in a position of 
  18.     contemplation. Once they've settled, LATHA MABRIN 
  19.     ENTERS the cavern.
  20.  
  21.                     LATHA
  22.             I am Vedek Latha Mabrin and I 
  23.             welcome you to the Calash Retreat. 
  24.             Today we begin prayer and 
  25.             meditation in preparation for the 
  26.             Days of Atonement. May the 
  27.             Prophets walk with us as we begin 
  28.             our journey.
  29.  
  30.     Latha sits on the floor inside the circle of Monks and 
  31.     picks up a long ceremonial LIGHTER. He then leans 
  32.     forward and uses it to light the long WICK of the 
  33.     candle. The wick is more like a matchstick in that it 
  34.     burns down quickly into the opaque glass base of the 
  35.     candleholder itself.

  38.     As the wick burns down, Latha takes his seat on the 
  39.     floor, and closes his eyes in meditation. The other 
  40.     Monks close their eyes as well.
  41.  
  42. 2    INSERT - THE CANDLE
  43.  
  44.     The wick burns down into the glass base. When the flame 
  45.     disappears from view, there is a beat and then 
  46.     there seems to be a different series of several wicks 
  47.     inside the holder hidden from view which are now lit, 
  48.     giving a new flickering look to the glass base.

  50. 3    WIDER (OPTICAL)
  51.  
  52.     The Monks are deep in prayer when the candle holder 
  53.     suddenly sends out SIX GLOWING BEAMS OF LIGHT. Each 
  54.     beam focuses on the chest of a different Monk.
