  10.             Yes, but she's still in shock. 
  11.             She has a broken femur and a 
  12.             hairline fracture of the right 
  13.             parietal bone.
  14.  
  15.                     O'BRIEN 
  16.             Can I see her?
  17.  
  18.     Bashir considers the request a moment before answering.
  19.  
  20.                     BASHIR 
  21.             Maybe in a couple of hours. She 
  22.             needs rest.
  23.  
  24.                     O'BRIEN 
  25.             Julian -- I have to see her now.
  26.  
  27.     Bashir doesn't approve, but before he can refuse the 
  28.     request --
  29.  
  30.                     SISKO 
  31.             Doctor.
  32.  
  33.     Bashir looks over O'Brien's shoulder to Sisko, who 
  34.     makes a mute appeal in support of O'Brien.
  35.  
  36.                     BASHIR
  37.                 (steps aside) 
  38.             All right -- but only for a few 
  39.             minutes. Don't excite her.
  40.  
  41. 27   INT. SURGERY
  42.  
  43.     O'Brien ENTERS, stops short when he sees Keiko on the 
  44.     table, surrounded by FLASHING and BLEEPING machines, 
  45.     her face looks gaunt and very pale; her eyes have deep,
  46.     dark circles. The sight of his wife causes him to lose 
  47.     all perspective for a moment. O'Brien fights back the 
  48.     tears. He steps to her side, takes her hand.
  49.  
  50.                     O'BRIEN 
  51.             Keiko?
  52.  
  53.     He looks into her eyes, finds himself staring at two 
  54.     hard polished stones -- the dead eyes of a shark.
  55.  
  56.                     KEIKO 
  57.             You were going to tell them about 
  58.             me.
