  6.     As the ship CLOAKS.

  9.             With the Defiant under cloak we 
  10.             left Cardassian space and managed 
  11.             to avoid being detected by the 
  12.             Klingons.

  14. 7    INT. DEFIANT - BRIDGE (OPTICAL)
  15.  
  16.     Dax is at the helm, Sisko is in the Command Chair, 
  17.     O'Brien is at the Engineering station. On the 
  18.     VIEWSCREEN, the stars streak by at warp. The LIGHTS 
  19.     indicate we are cloaked.
  20.  
  21.                     SISKO (V.O.) 
  22.             We were halfway home, and I was 
  23.             just starting to breath easy.

  25.                     O'BRIEN
  26.                 (to Dax)
  27.             -- trust me, the next time you see 
  28.             him, just sniff the air and say 
  29.             "is that lilac?"

  31.                     DAX
  32.             Find somebody else. I have my own 
  33.             ways of torturing Worf.

  36.                     SISKO
  37.             Don't look at me.

  39.     Suddenly an ALARM goes off on O'Brien's console.

  41.                     O'BRIEN
  42.                 (off console)
  43.             I'm picking up a massive surge in
  44.             chronoton radiation around --
  45.  
  46.     Before he can finish, the Bridge suddenly DISTORTS and 
  47.     we see a strange MULTIPLE IMAGING EFFECT which then 
  48.     WHITES OUT the frame...
  49.  
  50.                                     FADE IN:
  51.  
  52.     The Bridge is quiet and everyone is sitting in the same 
  53.     positions seen a moment ago with dazed expressions. It 
  54.     takes them a few seconds to "come back" and get their 
  55.     bearings. The viewscreen has gone to STATIC and the 
  56.     consoles are flickering as if systems were only slowly 
  57.     coming back on.
