  6.     When Jake appears in the entrance, Bashir can't believe 
  7.     what he's seeing at first and it takes a moment for him 
  8.     to react --

  10.                     BASHIR 
  11.             Jake... ?

  13.     Bashir's been blaming himself for Jake's death, and the 
  14.     sight of him is such a relief it brings tears to his 
  15.     eyes.

  17.                     BASHIR 
  18.             Thank God...

  20.     He covers his face with his hand, doesn't know whether 
  21.     to laugh or cry... when he finally looks up, his 
  22.     expression is strangely pained.

  24.                     BASHIR
  25.             I thought you'd been killed. Once 
  26.             the shelling stopped and I 
  27.             couldn't find you, I assumed the 
  28.             worst.

  30.     His eyes are pleading, he needs Jake to understand. 
  31.     Jake finds himself in the odd predicament of having to 
  32.     comfort Bashir. Somehow, the more he has to do it, the 
  33.     worse it makes him feel.

  36.             I'm sorry.

  38.                     JAKE 
  39.             It's all right.

  41.                     BASHIR
  42.             No, it's not. I never should've 
  43.             brought you here in the first place.
  44.                 (angry with himself) 
  45.             Now we're stuck here, the Klingons 
  46.             are massing to attack -- what was 
  47.             I thinking!
