  12.     Her eyes open partway; she's too weak to lift her 
  13.     head, but she smiles at the sight of her son...

  15.                     EKORIA
  16.             He's beautiful...

  18.     Bashir gives him to her, starts to wipe away the blood 
  19.     and placental tissue... then a look of utter 
  20.     astonishment crosses his features...

  22.                     BASHIR
  23.             My god...

  25.     He wipes away more blood to be sure...

  27.                     BASHIR
  28.             He doesn't have any lesions...
  29.                 (with awe)
  30.             The antigen must've been absorbed
  31.             through the placenta... he doesn't
  32.             have the Blight...

  35.             It's a miracle...

  37.     She dies, a smile on her lips... Bashir looks down at 
  38.     her still form, then picks up the baby, Ekoria's last 
  39.     gift to her people...

  41.     The emotion of it all overwhelms him... he doesn't know 
  42.     whether to collapse in tears or cry out for joy... off 
  43.     this bittersweet moment...

  49.     where Trevean is looking at the baby in Bashir's arms, 
  50.     awed by what it represents... Trevean's Attendants 
  51.     stand nearby, staring at the tiny bundle in his hands 
  52.     in stunned silence...
