  19.     A terrible moment as Bashir struggles with what to 
  20.     do... until finally, he let's Trevean push past him...

  22.     He watches as Trevean pours the contents of the vial 
  23.     into the dying woman's eager mouth...

  25.                     LATIA
  26.                 (through her pain)
  27.             Thank you...

  29.     A moment, then she dies... other patients spot Trevean 
  30.     and his Assistants in their midst, start calling out to 
  31.     them...

  33.     Dax looks to Bashir for guidance, sees that he's 
  34.     decided not to interfere... she watches as they go 
  35.     about their grim business... off Bashir's devastated 
  36.     features...

  40. 30   INT. TENEMENT HOUSE - MORNING

  42.     The room is now completely silent. In the span of one 
  43.     night, the once-thriving clinic has become a morgue. 
  44.     Every one of the Patients is now dead, every body on 
  45.     every bed covered with a dingy sheet.

  47.     Trevean and his men have gone, their work done. Bashir 
  48.     sits in a corner, shattered. Dax approaches him... 
  49.     after a quiet moment, he speaks, his voice far away...

  52.             I remember running a hematology 
  53.             scan on Epran the other day... 
  54.             there were changes in the viral 
  55.             base-pair sequence, and I didn't 
  56.             know why...
