  11.     Norva is still in a great deal of pain; Bashir scans 
  12.     her with his MEDICAL TRICORDER to find out why. In the 
  13.     background, some of the inhabitants watch our people 
  14.     with a mix of curiosity and suspicion.
  15.  
  16.     Dax returns, and oddly her hair is down, no longer 
  17.     pinned by a barrette.
  18.  
  19.                     BASHIR 
  20.             The painkiller I gave her isn't 
  21.             having much effect.
  22.                 (giving her another
  23.                 hypo)
  24.             These people's neurophysiology is
  25.             so different from ours, I doubt
  26.             this "blight" is any danger to us.

  28.     Dax nods an acknowledgment.

  32.             I got us transportation to the 
  33.             hospital.

  35.     Bashir looks over and sees a WOMAN approaching them, 
  36.     pushing a CART. She looks older than her forty years, 
  37.     beaten down by circumstance.

  39.                     BASHIR
  40.                 (sotto)
  41.             How'd you manage that? These 
  42.             aren't the friendliest people I've 
  43.             ever met.
  44.  
  45.     As if in reply, Dax tosses her head to show her hair is
  46.     unbound. Bashir looks, and the Woman has her scraggly 
  47.     hair partially kept by Dax's barrette. The Woman 
  48.     flashes a craggy grin, pleased with the trade and how 
  49.     she looks. Off this moment...
