  2.           DEEP SPACE NINE: "Homefront" - 11/04/95 - ACT TWO         24.
  3.
  4. 24   CONTINUED:
  5.
  6.                     NOG
  7.             It's just... the Academy is
  8.             different than I thought it would
  9.             be.
  10.
  11.                     JAKE
  12.             Different how?
  13.
  14.                     NOG
  15.             Some of the cadets. They're kind
  16.             of standoffish. Especially the
  17.             upperclassmen.
  18.
  19.                     JAKE
  20.             Because you're a Ferengi?
  21.
  22.                     NOG
  23.             That's what I thought at first.
  24.             But then I heard some of the other
  25.             freshmen complaining about the
  26.             same thing.
  27.
  28.                     JAKE
  29.             Complaining about what?
  30.
  31.                     NOG
  32.             Little things. For instance,
  33.             there's this group called Red
  34.             Squad made up of all the top
  35.             students. They're always going
  36.             off on trips... getting special
  37.             training... None of them'll even
  38.             talk to me.
  39.
  40.                     JAKE
  41.             You've only been at the Academy
  42.             for a month. You can't expect to
  43.             fit in right away. Who knows, one
  44.             of these days you might even be in
  45.             Red Squad. I'm sure if you let
  46.             them get to know you, show them
  47.             that you're a good guy to be
  48.             around, everything'll work out.
  49.
  50.                     NOG
  51.             I am a good guy to be around,
  52.             aren't I?
  53.
  54.                     JAKE
  55.             I always thought so.
  56.
  57.     Nog smiles. He feels a little better.
  58.
