  7.     one to Nurse Garland, puts one in his own mouth, and 
  8.     lights both cigarettes.

  10.                     PROFESSOR CARLSON 
  11.             You can't keep this from the 
  12.             public forever, General. Beings 
  13.             from another planet have landed on 
  14.             Earth. It's one of the most 
  15.             important events in human history.
  16.  
  17.                     GENERAL DENNING 
  18.             Maybe. But we can't risk causing 
  19.             a panic. I'm not telling the 
  20.             public anything until we know 
  21.             exactly what we're up against.

  23.     Denning turns and we see that everyone in the room is 
  24.     watching Quark, Nog and Rom through the two-way 
  25.     mirror. We can't hear them until the General reaches 
  26.     over and flips a toggle switch activating a speaker 
  27.     over the mirror. (Because the Ferengis' universal 
  28.     translators are on the blink, we hear untranslated 
  29.     Ferengi whenever we're seeing them from the humans' 
  30.     point of view. Rough translations are in parentheses.)

  33.             Pip im gren tovat. Yop bree gren 
  34.             skin law po far.  (This is all your 
  35.             fault. I told you to check 
  36.             the ship.)

  40.             ma. (I'm sorry, brother. I did 
  41.             the best I could.)

  45.     Quark, Rom and Nog are trying to make sense of their 
  46.     surroundings. Now that the Ferengi are alone, we 
  47.     understand them perfectly. Quark checks the room's 
  48.     only door.

  54.             What is this place? Where are we?
