  4. 37   RESUME SCENE (OPTICAL)

  6.                     ARAK'TARAL
  7.             You don't like helping us.
  8.  
  9.     O'Brien looks him right in the eye.
  10.  
  11.                     O'BRIEN
  12.             No.  I don't.
  13.  
  14.                     ARAK'TARAL
  15.             Good. I don't like it either.
  16.  
  17.                     O'BRIEN
  18.             I'm glad we understand each other.
  19.  
  20.     The two men stare at each other for a moment, then 
  21.     O'Brien turns back to the work at hand. He begins 
  22.     pulling a briefcase-sized UNIT out of the floor. 
  23.     Arak'Taral tenses and trains his weapon on O'Brien.
  24.  
  25.                     ARAK'TARAL
  26.             Slowly.
  27.  
  28.     O'Brien obeys and slowly pulls the unit out of the 
  29.     floor.
  30.  
  31.                     ARAK'TARAL
  32.             Let go of it.
  33.  
  34.     Everything happens quickly:
  35.  
  36.     -- O'Brien lets go and drops his hands, letting one 
  37.     hand fall on an OPTICAL CABLE near the open floor panel.
  38.  
  39.      -- Arak'Taral carefully bends down and examines the 
  40.     unit without touching it.
  41.  
  42.     -- O'Brien waits for the proper moment, then quickly 
  43.     JAMS the cable into a POWER JUNCTION.
  44.  
  45.     -- The console near Arak'Taral EXPLODES in a spray of 
  46.     sparks and smoke. Arak'Taral whirls instinctively 
  47.     toward the explosion, weapon ready.
  48.  
  49.     -- O'Brien DIVES for the Transporter pad.
  50.  
  51.     -- Arak'Taral recovers and FIRES his weapon at O'Brien.
  52.  
  53.     -- Jem'Hadar #4 ENTERS, weapon at the ready.
  54.  
  55.     -- O'Brien hits the pad and DEMATERIALIZES, with ENERGY 
  56.     BOLTS from Arak'Taral's weapon barely missing him.
  57.  
  58.     Then he's gone.
