  8.             So it's perfectly reasonable that 
  9.             they could've communicated knowledge 
  10.             of the future to a Bajoran named 
  11.             Trakor... and that he wrote that 
  12.             knowledge down in the form of a 
  13.             prophecy... and now, three thousand 
  14.             years later, we're watching those 
  15.             events unfold.  To me, that reasoning 
  16.             sounds concrete... solid... I'd even 
  17.             call it Starfleet.

  19.     Sisko considers her case for a long moment... he turns and 
  20.     paces for a moment.

  22.                     SISKO
  23.             But it all hinges on how you interpret 
  24.             an ancient text that's been translated 
  25.             and re-translated over the 
  26.             centuries... words that were couched 
  27.             in metaphor to begin with.
  28.                 (turning to face her)
  29.             I'm sorry, Major... but where you 
  30.             see a Sword of Stars, I see a comet.  
  31.             Where you see vipers, I see three 
  32.             scientists.
  33.                 (beat)
  34.             And where you see the Emissary... I 
  35.             see a Starfleet Officer.

  37.     Sisko's position is clear... Kira sees that it's pointless 
  38.     to argue with him further.

  40.                     DAX'S COM VOICE
  41.             Dax to Sisko.
  42.  
  43.                     SISKO
  44.             Go ahead.

  46.                     DAX'S COM VOICE
  47.             We're ready to deploy the relay.

  50.             I'm on my way.
